Next Month Melanie and the girls from Café Bella are celebrating an important milestone, their first year in business!
Melanie re opened Café Bella on the 20th November last year and has never looked back.
Melanie said, “it’s been a hectic 12 months rebuilding the business. Getting the customers back in with good old-fashioned customer service, good food and affordable prices is my priority. So many people really missed having Café Bella to catch up with family or friends and loved ones. Its really nice to see all the familiar and lots of new faces, have a chat and really get to know our customers and what they like.”
“I have a great team of girls and we all work really hard together. I couldn’t have done it without these girls. They are the best and I really mean that. We are great friends and that shows in the friendly, happy atmosphere here at Café Bella. We like to greet our customers on arrival and say “see you again” and “thankyou” when they leave. It’s not rocket science. It’s called Customer Service”.
“It was a challenge to reopen the café and earn back the customers support. We have done a lot of hard work and we are getting there but the challenge continues. We will continue to improve and grow and we look forward to the challenge”.
Melanie has been on the island since 2000 and is a true local. She has previously worked in hospitality and managed hotels and clubs for many years before a career change to banking where she worked at the Commonwealth Bank here on Bribie for the last 8 years. “My hospitality background and more recently banking has been a great help in making my dream come true. I have always wanted to have my own business but it was never the right time until now. All of the girls at Café Bella want to thank all the customers old and new for their fabulous support and feedback and we look forward to seeing you for a cuppa and chat very soon.
