Beachmere Bowls Club hosted an Armistice Day Bowls Tournament

Beachmere Community Lawn Bowls Club hosted an Armistice Day Bowls Tournament on Saturday 10 December with teams from community groups and businesses across Beachmere.

The day, hopefully an annual event, encouraged the community to come together and remember the service and sacrifice of our nation’s soldiers, sailors, air force personnel, nurses and merchant mariners in defending Australia and its people.

The day was a “fun” informal, barefoot bowls day allowed people to celebrate peace and enjoy the company of others as they remembered the legacy of living in a free nation, enjoying life and having a good time.
