Community organisations in Longman are invited to apply for the second round of the Australian Aid: Friendship Grants which is now open.
The grant program is part of the Morrison Government’s commitment to building relationships between our overseas partners in the Indo-Pacific and supporting community organisations in their efforts overseas.
The three year $10 million program provides grants of $30,000 to $60,000 for activities that work to strengthen relationships with overseas partner organisations and demonstrates innovative development approaches.
Federal Member for Longman Terry Young said he encouraged local community groups in the electorate who are eligible for the Friendship Grants Program to apply.
“This is a great opportunity for eligible community organisations in Longman that provide assistance to communities in the Indo-Pacific countries authorised to receive overseas development aid to submit their application,” Mr Young said.
“So many of our community groups need this support to help them continue their important work overseas and the Morrison Government have provided this funding to make it possible.”
The grant round closes at 1pm on 10 September 2019.
