FEDERAL MEMBER FOR LONGMAN TO HOST TOORBUL NBN INFORMATION FORUM

Terry Young MP

Federal Member for Longman

Liberal – Queensland – LNP

MEDIA RELEASE

26.09.2019

Federal Member for Longman Terry Young MP will host a NBN Information Session for Toorbul residents who are experiencing issues with their NBN connectivity on October 9.

Toorbul residents will be given the opportunity to raise their questions and concerns with NBN representatives at the forum.

The information session will be held at 6.30pm on Wednesday, 9th October at the Toorbul Community Hall and will be free for any locals who want to attend.

Federal Member for Longman Terry Young MP said the forum presented an open platform with NBN representatives where concerns could be raised and the voices of Toorbul locals heard.

“I know that a lot of people across the Longman electorate, particularly in the Toorbul area, are frustrated by the issues they are experiencing with their NBN,” Mr Young said.

“The point of this forum is to raise these concerns with NBN representatives who can give Toorbul locals more information about what could be causing these issues and what the solution is.

Mr Young previously met with government representatives and NBN staff during an information session at Parliament House in Canberra in July where he raised the concerns of the NBN connection in Toorbul.

“I had a productive meeting with the representatives from NBN in July, where I asked them when the issue would be addressed and how much longer Toorbul residents would have to wait for good NBN service.

“Many Toorbul locals rely on NBN for work and to keep in touch with family and friends, so this is an issue that needs to be addressed and resolved quickly.”

Please contact Mr Young’s office on 07 5432 3177 or terry.young.mp@aph.gov.au for more information on the Toorbul NBN Information Session on Wednesday, 9th October 2019.
