Welcome to issue 43, first of I would like to apologise to Michael Bain owner of Bongaree Bakery and Woorim Bakery for the mistake in issue 42 with the close encounters story. We missed a sentence in the first paragraph of the story, Michael I am very sorry we made this mistake and with regards to wholesale enquiries, we printed an incorrect phone number, if you do have enquiries for Wholesale for Woorim and Bongaree Bakery, please contact Michael on email only bce.psi@gmail.com this is the best way to communicate with Michael.

In this issue we have the article from Rosie McKenry “Does Protest Still Work” It will be her final article for a while, and the Team at the LOCAL would like to thank Rosie for her contribution to the LOCAL with her wonderful articles. We would like to wish Rosie and her Husband Bruce all the best and plenty more adventures for them.

Also, in this issue we have key events happening around Moreton Bay and of course plenty of local stories with what our politicians have been up to, to local hero’s in our community. We certainly have some fantastic community members that never stop achieving and working hard for their goals.

Enjoy your read and if you have an issue you want to publish in the letter to the editor please email me on belinda@islandandsurrounds.com.au

Warm regards

Belinda Ferguson
