It was one of the hottest days for a while, but Beachmere came out to enjoy a cool breeze in the afternoon shade at the Beachmere Community Carols on Saturday, 7 December.
The Palm Lake Beachmere Songsters led the gathering in the carols with local entertainers Tony and Jan Timms performing everyone’s favourites. Another long time local, Sam Gallagher, sang a trio of carols that brought the event to a standstill. The Dance4Kids Performance team took over the stage and a host of politicians dropped by to wish everyone a Merry Christmas.
With activities for the children, and some fun for the “big kids”, great gift and craft stalls, Beachmere kicked off its festive season with a family event that was enjoyed by all.
