Unfortunately, Ali King MP has not updated us at all on the Roadworks at the intersection of Bribie Island Road and Toorbul Point Road. Speaking to the Community directly and feedback is you would like an update. This update has been sent to the Editor of the LOCAL News by a resident who is constantly communicating with TMR on these works on Bribie Island Road.
The Department of Transport and Main Roads (TMR) would like to provide you with an update on the Caboolture-Bribie Island Road and Old Toorbul Point Road intersection upgrade project.
Construction is moving into the fourth and final stage with all traffic being temporarily diverted to the newly constructed lanes on Caboolture-Bribie Island Road.
Stage four works will include:
pavement strengthening and resurfacing existing westbound lanes of Caboolture-Bribie Island Road
installing traffic signal infrastructure at the Old Toorbul Point Road intersection
ongoing culvert works for improved drainage.
installing bus shelters.
This stage of construction will also involve a variety of finalisation works such as footpaths, kerbing, signage, road lighting, landscaping, final asphalt surfacing, and linemarking.

Construction is expected to be complete by late July, weather and construction conditions permitting.
Please note the "Give Way" arrangements at the intersection will remain in place until the new traffic signals are operational at completion of the project.
Key stakeholders are being kept up to date and notified of construction activities as the project progresses.
What to expect:
majority of works will be undertaken during the day between 6am and 5pm, Monday to Saturday
some night works may be required between 7pm and 5am, Sunday to Thursday
temporary lane closures, reduced speed limits, construction signage and traffic control measures will be in place during the work
variable message signage will be in place at the approaches to the work site
motorists may experience minor delays and are being asked to drive to the changed traffic conditions, obeying signage, reduced speed limits and traffic controller directions at all times
noise and possible dust from construction activities and machinery can be expected
reversing beepers and flashing lights are a safety requirement and are used during working hours
priority access through the work zone is given to emergency vehicles.
Every effort is being made to keep disruptions and noise to a minimum while the works are underway. TMR understands roadworks can be frustrating for nearby residents, businesses and road users and acknowledges the cooperation and patience of stakeholders during construction.
